The external power supply should maintain 6V at 550 mA output current. I'ld increase the CO2 modules decoupling substantially (100 uF close to the pins if possible) and make sure the power trace is wide.

This is required as the sensor is large and will sit on top of other components.
With the shield assembled, Sparkfun's new Qwiic environment means that connecting the sensor could not be easier. Just plug one end of the Qwiic cable into the CCS811+BME280 breakout (either I 2 C connector will do) and the other into the Qwiic Shield. You'll be ready to upload a sketch and start taking air quality measurements once connected.
